Aranya Resort, Yala

Aranya resort is situated in a peaceful location bordering the katagamuwa entrance of yala national park , spread out over a vast 5 acre locality , surrounded by the wilderness in a safe , secure environment ( Police and Armed forces detachments are located in close proximity )which allows you the luxury of relaxation away from the concrete jungle in absolute privacy . It is owned and operated by the husband and wife team of former sri lankan Cricket captain – Hashan Tillekaratne and his Charming wife – Apsari under the auspices of a professional management company.

The resort which is literally separated from the national park , only by an electric fence , provides access to the best area of the park for Leopard sightings. On most evenings you will also be pleasantly surprised by wild elephants ambling by the properties edge to the nearby Kochchipathana lake in search of food and water.

Despite its modern and comfortable interior and the Kataragama town being only 5 kms away , Aranya gives the illusion of being cut of from civilization due to its unique location . The natural beauty of the surrounds will help soothe your tired limbs and relax in a typical outdoor environment away from the hustle and bustle of the city .
